Privacy policy
Capdrop keeps hydration data local by default.
Last updated: July 10, 2026.
Data stored on device
- Daily water totals and individual water log entries.
- Goal, unit, reminder, theme, app icon, and widget preferences.
- Bottle-cap reward balance and local streak/history calculations.
Data sharing
Capdrop does not use a backend account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or tracking SDK. Hydration data is not sent to a Capdrop server.
Apple Health
If you enable HealthKit access, Capdrop can write water intake entries to Apple Health. HealthKit permission is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.
Widgets and notifications
Widgets read a small local snapshot through the app group so they can show today's progress. Notifications are scheduled locally and may include quick actions for common water amounts.
Export
If you choose to export your data, Capdrop creates a local JSON file and opens the iOS share sheet. You decide where that file goes.
