Summary
GiftNest does not upload your gift lists, contacts, photos, birthdays, notes, or saved links to a GiftNest server.
GiftNest stores your app data locally on your device.
GiftNest reads Contacts only if you choose to import them.
GiftNest never edits, writes to, or deletes your Contacts.
GiftNest may open external store or gift links. Those external sites have their own privacy practices.
GiftNest may use affiliate links for supported stores. This means GiftNest may earn a commission if you purchase after opening one of those links, at no extra cost to you.

This information is used to provide the app’s core gift-planning features.
Contacts
If you choose to import Contacts, GiftNest requests permission from iOS before reading contact information.
GiftNest requests only the contact fields needed for the app: name, birthday when available, thumbnail contact photo when available, and local contact identifier for duplicate prevention.
GiftNest does not request phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, contact notes, or other contact fields. GiftNest never edits your Contacts.
Photos and camera
GiftNest may ask for access to your photo library or camera so you can add photos to people and gift ideas. Photos you select or capture are compressed and stored locally with your GiftNest data on your device.
Gift links and affiliate links
When you save a gift link, GiftNest removes common tracking and outside affiliate parameters before saving it.
When you open a saved gift link, GiftNest may add a GiftNest affiliate link for supported stores. If no affiliate configuration exists for a store, GiftNest opens the clean saved link without adding an affiliate link.
External stores and websites may collect information according to their own privacy policies. GiftNest does not control those third-party sites.
Data storage and sharing
GiftNest stores app data locally on your device using iOS local storage. If you back up your device through Apple services, your device backup may include GiftNest data according to your Apple backup settings.
GiftNest does not currently provide its own cloud sync service or account system. GiftNest does not sell your personal information and does not share locally saved gift-planning data with a GiftNest server.
GiftNest does not use third-party analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs in the current app build.
Children
GiftNest is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. GiftNest is not intended to be submitted in the App Store Kids Category.
Your choices
Decline Contacts access and add people manually.
Decline photo or camera access and use the app without photos.
Delete people, gifts, and occasion data inside the app.
Reset sample data from Settings.
Delete GiftNest from your device to remove locally stored app data, subject to your device backup settings.
